Suite “Sotto il Sole” is our best room, ideal for honeymoons and special events.
It is located on the second floor, accessible by lift, of the historic noble palace that houses Hotel San Michele, at the end of a corridor leading to the side wing of the building.
The large, bright room, with openings on three sides, has a comfortable kitchen area equipped with a microwave, electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, kettle and coffee machine.
The double bed is king-size, and the sofa can be converted into an additional single bed.
The large glass table lends itself both as a work area and as a dining table for cocktails and dinners.
In the restroom bathroom there’s a Jacuzzi tub.
The main feature of the room is the large panoramic terrace, open on 3 sides, with a view over the Valdichiana and the roofs of Cortona, equipped with sun beds, cocktail table and chairs, and a covered gazebo, representing a unique and unobtainable proposal in Cortona.
All the historical features of the building are preserved in the room, with original terracotta floors, marble and pietra serena inserts, wooden beams and tiles on the ceiling.
Air conditioning, heating, private bathroom, safe, hairdryer, kettle, coffee maker, crockery and glasses, TV with international channels, Wi-Fi and complimentary toiletries.

Difetti trovati sono i condizionatori un po' datati e con filtri da pulire. Posto auto un po' caro e soprattutto pochissimi posti a disposizione in struttura. Per il resto sembra un altro mondo è tutto storia della Toscana e Ben tenuto

L'hotel è una meravigliosa ed elegante struttura nobiliare in pieno centro a Cortona, ideale per muoversi a piedi. Conserva perfettamente il suo fascino storico, con camere comode e dotate di tutti i comfort. Colazione deliziosa sia dolce che salata, accompagnata dal premuroso servizio al tavolo di caffè e latte caldi. Cura e attenzione eccezionali da parte del proprietario e di tutto lo staff, in particolare desidero menzionare la ragazza alla reception sempre gentilissima e sorridente. Servizio perfetto anche per i motociclisti: garage comodo per le moto e gestione del pass per il transito in ZTL compreso. Siamo stati davvero benissimo!

Sono stata un paio d'ore in reception a chiacchierare col proprietario e ho potuto constatare la grande professionalità del Manager e della ragazza che lo ha preceduto. Un Hotel dove si respira la storia, ma ristrutturato perfettamente, pulito e accogliente. Una base perfetta per visitare i meravigliosi luoghi che lo circondano. Tornerò a fare un tour in bassa stagione, per ammirare anche le camere. Vivendo a pochi chilometri da Arezzo lo consiglio assolutamente.

La struttura trova nella sua storicità la sua caratteristica principale, anche che le camere dovrebbero avere qualche elemento di modernità maggiore. Altro punto a sfavore, il segnale Wi-Fi, davvero pessimo, non essendoci linea telefonica mobile, si ha la sensazione di stare un po’ fuori dal mondo. Colazione top! Ottima sia la varietà che la qualità del buffet, sia dolce che salato, ed il personale davvero gentile e disponibile. Abbastanza consigliato.

The staff are excellent in every way.  The included breakfast was also better than most hotel breakfasts.  The location is ideal, just steps from the main piazza. Die Lage des Hotels ist spitze, da direkt im Zentrum am Marktplatz gelegen. Der Service in Hotel ist außerordentlich gut. Alle Mitarbeiter, von Reinigung, übers Frühstück bis zur Rezeption sind äußerst zuvorkommend. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Service von Amalia. Sie machte einen fantastischen Job und hat uns bei all unseren Anliegen unterstützt.
