Camera elegante, avvolgente con vista splendida, colazione ricca e con prodotti di qualità....ritorneremo come ogni anno! Grazie a tutti ed in particolare al Dott. Paolo Alunno ed a Gabriele Martini ed al "nuovo acquisto" Sig. Alessandro. Centro di Cortona a 50 metri....

If there is a 6 star rating, I will give this hotel 6 star. 5 star isn't good enough for their kindness and excellence. On 5/20/2023, my wife accidently fail on the down hill road of Montepulciano and broke her ankle. We just happened to stop in front of Hotel San Michele after emergency treatment. While I was asking for direction to our reservation (a B&B in Cortona), the front desk young lady named Amalia, provided me a lot of information, and a map, telling me how to find our B&B. She also provided tips on the parking rules in Cartona, how to avoid getting parking tickets, etc... Since my wife ankle was broken, she couldn't walk further, we decide to stay on San Michele instead. Amalia was so kind. Even though she was slim and looked delicate, she tried very hard, to help us carry luggage, and help me, holding my wife jump to our room. At night, while we had difficulties calling airline to reschedule our flight back to US, the manager Alessandro provided us a lot of assistance, call the airline for us, and advised us how to get our cell phone working, parked our car, setting up room air condition, etc... We were so touched by their whole effort trying to make our life easier. Next morning, while we were leaving, Porter young man named Tahir, helped us every step of the way, moving my wife step out of the hotel, and helped us carry and arrange luggage in our car. We were so touched by their kindness. After came back to US, even though it's been almost two months, we were busy visiting our doctors, dealing with other things, we always wanted to write them a big thank you. Hope this review will express some of our feelings towards their service. Everyone in this hotel we met was very kind and very eager to help us. We'll never forget our experience.

A beautiful classic old Italian hotel kept up meticulously. A beautiful classic old Italian hotel kept up meticulously. Extremely friendly staff and an amazing breakfast spread. The location is so close to the centre of the town with all the restaurants/bars/shops. Be aware that Cortona is a very hilly town so to walk to/from this hotel you will need to be physically able to manage hills.

Magic You will love this place: it's in the heart of Cortona and you'll feel the magic of this place. Hotel staff is very kind and helpul; breakfast is good. Remember: you can't access to the city centre by car but hotel can allow you to load/unload your suitcases by a temporary pass.

Più che soddisfacente Bellissimo hotel. In zona centrale molto tranquillo e rilassante, assenza di rumori. Ottima e abbondante colazione sia per chi apprezza la colazione salata che per chi apprezza quella dolce composta anche da torte e brioches di pasticceria. Servizio e personale veramente al Top

Fantastic hotel Loved this hotel!! Our room was very comfortable, and well appointed. The hotel had several gathering areas which made it convenient to relax with our daughter who had a separate room. As we checked in our hosts made a few phone calls and got us a reservation to eat at a wonderful restaurant 2 doors away. We loved Cortona and Hotel San Michele!!

A lovely, beautiful hotel with excellent staff Wonderful hotel with wonderful, attentive staff. Room and bathroom were spacious, and the breakfast room and sitting rooms were large and beautiful. Alessandro and the rest of the staff were very good to us. Thank you!

Perfect in every way. Perfect location, perfect hosts and the on-site car parking is a major bonus (worth the extra cost). Highly recommend. We stayed here only overnight but,once there, we wished we could have stayed longer. Cortona old town is very special and definitely worth the visit.
