Ken27. May, 2024.Very enjoyable. Loved Cortona and this was in the perfect location. ☺ Good hotel, great staff, excellent location. They were able to do alot and make it into quite a nice place, given the age of the building and related challenges. Our room (on the top floor) had some low beams running thru it that, if not paying attention, one would smash their head on. We were able to avoid the hazard, and actually appreciated the authenticity. It gave the feeling of staying in and old belfry where one might find Quasimodo himself. View overlooking the old tile roofs and down to the valley floor was amazing. ☹ All was good - nothing negative to report

It is located just a few steps from the town square, shopping and wonderful dining spots. Mary Keast14. May, 2024.Beautiful old historic building. Frescoes everywhere. I had a single room, with double bed. Room and bathroom very clean. Excellent location few steps from main piazza and plenty of eateries. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Staff excellent. I gave 4 stars as furniture at outside sitting areas was dirty and had spiders. Needs a clean and sweep. Looked unkempt.

Kirstin Spann15. April, 2024.Hotel San Michele is a MUST stay while in Cortona! It is a beautiful, upscale, clean, and professional business in the heart of Tuscany's most charming city. The staff were all extremely nice and helpful, providing tips and recommendations for restaurants and things to do throughout our stay. Gabriel and Manuel were both fantastic. The rooms/bathrooms were spacious, clean, and very cozy! My husband and I will definitely stay here again, and will recommend to anyone visiting Cortona. Wish we didn't have to leave!

Camera 108 con ampio specchio a figura intera e pompa di calore puntata sul letto. Comodo divano e frigor in camera con 4 bottiglie da 0.5 di acqua di benvenuto. Saletta colazione - turni prenotabili al check-in pee garantire buon servizio) al primo piano con prodotti buoni ma migliorabili. Zona comune con divanetti e scacchiere con piccolo bar. Personale gentile e disponibile h24. Disponibile jacuZZI e piccola saletta relax con supplemento. Bello bello. Ammessi🐶 adatto 🧑🤝🧑accessibile♿sni. Personale molto professionale, gentile, presente mai invadente. Camera elegante, avvolgente con vista splendida, colazione ricca e con prodotti di qualità....ritorneremo come ogni anno! Grazie a tutti ed in particolare al Dott. Paolo Alunno ed a Gabriele Martini ed al "nuovo acquisto" Sig. Alessandro. Centro di Cortona a 50 metri....
Kingston P4. July, 2023.If there is a 6 star rating, I will give this hotel 6 star. 5 star isn't good enough for their kindness and excellence. On 5/20/2023, my wife accidently fail on the down hill road of Montepulciano and broke her ankle. We just happened to stop in front of Hotel San Michele after emergency treatment. While I was asking for direction to our reservation (a B&B in Cortona), the front desk young lady named Amalia, provided me a lot of information, and a map, telling me how to find our B&B. She also provided tips on the parking rules in Cartona, how to avoid getting parking tickets, etc... Since my wife ankle was broken, she couldn't walk further, we decide to stay on San Michele instead. Amalia was so kind. Even though she was slim and looked delicate, she tried very hard, to help us carry luggage, and help me, holding my wife jump to our room. At night, while we had difficulties calling airline to reschedule our flight back to US, the manager Alessandro provided us a lot of assistance, call the airline for us, and advised us how to get our cell phone working, parked our car, setting up room air condition, etc... We were so touched by their whole effort trying to make our life easier. Next morning, while we were leaving, Porter young man named Tahir, helped us every step of the way, moving my wife step out of the hotel, and helped us carry and arrange luggage in our car. We were so touched by their kindness. After came back to US, even though it's been almost two months, we were busy visiting our doctors, dealing with other things, we always wanted to write them a big thank you. Hope this review will express some of our feelings towards their service. Everyone in this hotel we met was very kind and very eager to help us. We'll never forget our experience.

Extremely friendly staff and an amazing breakfast spread. The location is so close to the centre of the town with all the restaurants/bars/shops. Be aware that Cortona is a very hilly town so to walk to/from this hotel you will need to be physically able to manage hills.
renzo_p_0183. July, 2023.Magic You will love this place: it's in the heart of Cortona and you'll feel the magic of this place. Hotel staff is very kind and helpul; breakfast is good. Remember: you can't access to the city centre by car but hotel can allow you to load/unload your suitcases by a temporary pass.

The hotel had several gathering areas which made it convenient to relax with our daughter who had a separate room. As we checked in our hosts made a few phone calls and got us a reservation to eat at a wonderful restaurant 2 doors away. We loved Cortona and Hotel San Michele!!

chris s11. June, 2023.Perfect in every way. Perfect location, perfect hosts and the on-site car parking is a major bonus (worth the extra cost). Highly recommend. We stayed here only overnight but,once there, we wished we could have stayed longer. Cortona old town is very special and definitely worth the visit.
