A charming historic hotel in the heart of Cortona ☺A wonderful hotel in an excellent location right in the historic centre of Cortona. You can drive directly to the hotel, which is very convenient for luggage, although getting there takes you through a very narrow street! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and communication by email before our arrival was quick and efficient. Séjour exceptionnel. ☺Nous avons tout aimé dans ce superbe hôtel au centre de Cortona. La possibilité de garer sa voiture dans le garage de l’hôtel ( un grand merci au voiturier vraiment charmant), La chambre spacieuse et élégante (climatisée) avec une très belle vue sur la plaine et le lac Trasimene. Grande salle de bain bien équipée. Le petit déjeuner buffet parfait, que nous avons pris sur une charmante terrasse. La responsable du petit déjeuner est très gentille et attentionnée. Les jeunes femmes de la réception très sympathiques, et la présence permanente du propriétaire toujours à l’écoute des besoins des clients. The location is fantastic. Just steps from the shopping and restaurants.  The hotel is old fashioned and charming.  The bathrooms are in need of an upgrade both  fixtures and lighting.  But it’s quirky ways also are the very thing that makes it charming.  I would ask for a room furthest away from Via Nationale as that street can be loud at night.  They have a nice breakfast each morning w an option to eat in the outdoor courtyard. What a magical hotel and it felt like we stepped back in time.  Sadly we only spent one night and it was so comfortable.  Great breakfast buffet and service was so friendly. Front desk was so helpful with our car parking. Drove up to the front door and a valet drove it to a parking spot. Easy walk to every thing in Cortona. Restaurants and shopping in less than 30 seconds from front door. Room was so comfortable. Bellissimo Posto d'epoca... In una posizione Centralissima ! Un po' complicato raggiungere la struttura in pieno centro! Difetti trovati sono i condizionatori un po' datati e con filtri da pulire. Ho soggiornato all'Hotel San Michele con mio marito e una coppia di amici motociclisti e non potevamo chiedere di meglio! L'hotel è una meravigliosa ed elegante struttura nobiliare in pieno centro a Cortona, ideale per muoversi a piedi. Conserva perfettamente il suo fascino storico, con camere comode e dotate di tutti i comfort. Colazione deliziosa sia dolce che salata, accompagnata dal premuroso servizio al tavolo di caffè e latte caldi. Cura e attenzione eccezionali da parte del proprietario e di tutto lo staff, in particolare desidero menzionare la ragazza alla reception sempre gentilissima e sorridente. Sono stata un paio d'ore in reception a chiacchierare col proprietario e ho potuto constatare la grande professionalità del Manager e della ragazza che lo ha preceduto. Un Hotel dove si respira la storia, ma ristrutturato perfettamente, pulito e accogliente. Una base perfetta per visitare i meravigliosi luoghi che lo circondano. Tornerò a fare un tour in bassa stagione, per ammirare anche le camere. Vivendo a pochi chilometri da Arezzo lo consiglio assolutamente.

Buona soluzione al centro di Cortona, ottima la posizione. La struttura trova nella sua storicità la sua caratteristica principale, anche che le camere dovrebbero avere qualche elemento di modernità maggiore. Altro punto a sfavore, il segnale Wi-Fi, davvero pessimo, non essendoci linea telefonica mobile, si ha la sensazione di stare un po’ fuori dal mondo. Colazione top! We had a wonderful one night stay in this hotel, even through the hail storm on the top floor that evening.  The staff are excellent in every way. Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war sehr schön. Die Inneneinrichtung des Hotels und der Zimmer ist rustikal, aber mit viel Charme. Die Lage des Hotels ist spitze, da direkt im Zentrum am Marktplatz gelegen. Der Service in Hotel ist außerordentlich gut. Alle Mitarbeiter, von Reinigung, übers Frühstück bis zur Rezeption sind äußerst zuvorkommend. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Service von Amalia.
