Pero es parte de la experiencia de estar en un lugar así. El personal muy amable, el desayuno adecuado. El pueblo es bonito pero no hay mucho que hacer, lo tomamos de base para visitar Assisi, Pavia y otros cercanos. No hay estacionamiento pero te ayudan en cierto horario von un valet. Delightful front desk staff that was very helpful. Enjoyed a great breakfast that had everything from scarmbled eggs to breakfast cakes. We arranged to park our car in their little garage next door at an additional charge. However you need to reserve that in advance and it has just a couple of spaces. Our room was exactly as pictured. It was spacious and comfortable. The staff was courteous and extremely helpful. The location was just a short walk from the piazza. In addition, the breakfast buffet was really nice - a lot of options and everything was delicious. The location is wonderful and right in the middle of the town. The rooms were clean and plenty of character and looked out with a fantastic view. The hotel staff were incredible, so friendly and helpful and even offered to send some belongings we left behind After checkout to us. We were travelling with kids and they accommodated our every need. I would 100% stay at this hotel again just based on the service we received. The actual building was really a bonus and the walk ability made our stay perfect! Albergo storico ben posizionato nei pressi della via centrale. Personale cortese anche se all'arrivo la reception ci ha inondato di informazioni per la colazione della mattina dopo : dovevamo lasciare l'orario di preferenza perché hanno pochi tavoli in sala, avendo un piccolo cane non potevamo entrare in sala ma accomodarci in un terrazzino esterno ( sarà bello in inverno per gli ospiti). Diciamo che un ospite quando arriva dopo un viaggio la prima cosa che vuole é salire in camera e posare le valigie, non stare li dieci minuti ad ascoltare quello che può e non può fare anche perché cosi sembra piu' una caserma che un hotel, sarebbe preferibile dare tutte queste info quando si riconsegnano i documenti dopo la registrazione oppure far trovare in camera un foglio con le informazioni importanti in camera ( a detta della reception doveva esserci ma la cartellina in camera era vuota). Comunque per quanto riguarda la colazione del giorno dopo, grazie alla responsabile della sala molto cortese e attenta, non ci sono stati problemi ed é stata perfetta. La camera era bella anche se la scelta di qualche arredo forse non propriamente azzeccata. Il vero problema é stato il letto: sia la rete molto cedevole che il materasso a mio avviso basso e quindi la mattina dopo ci siamo risvegliati non molto riposati. Alla partenza, a domanda della reception, ho riferito questa cosa del letto e non ho visto un atteggiamento molto disponibile verso il cliente, anzi ho visto subito un atteggiamento difensivo, come se li avessi offesi. Partendo dal fatto che il materasso può essere una questione soggettiva, ma se il cliente ti dice che qualcosa non va', non gli dire :'' i nostri materassi sono di ultima generazione e anche le strutture..." perché allora meglio non chiedere al cliente se é andato tutto bene e poi ''stizzirsi'' se il cliente fa' un appunto, sarebbe molto meglio un modulo anonimo da lasciare alla reception, cosi poi l'albergatore si legge i commenti con calma senza fare un braccio di ferro con il cliente ( poi non vi lamentate se la gente vi dice che tutto ok e poi fa le recensioni negative). Posted onVerified A return visit did not disappoint. The hotel has charm with preserved historic details. Our room was comfortable with a kitchen area and outdoor terrace that had amazing views of the valley beyond Cortona. We chose this room but there were also large common areas in the hotel where you could sit and read. The staff at the front desk went out of their way to be helpful. All spoke english. What's not to love about this hotel? It's historic, beautiful, clean, and steps away from the center of town. We were able to walk quickly into the heart of Cortona and enjoy a glass of wine or a cappuccino. We stayed here four nights and used this location as a base to visit other small quaint towns in the Tuscany region. Cortona is old with very narrow cobblestone streets and great views. Our room was spacious and quiet and everything worked to perfection. Housekeeping kept our room well stocked with supplies. A scrumptious breakfast was offered each morning which did not disappoint. Plenty of options with hot drinks. The staff was very friendly and helpful and assisted on a few occasions in making dinner reservations for us. The price of the hotel was very reasonable.
